Eggplant

Hello Friends!

January for me is always one of those months I just wish would race to be over—- its gray and cold, and just seems to never move quickly!

So to get our minds off gray, I wanted to write about the color of eggplant, and how elegant this color can be as an addition to your home. It is in the purple family, so it is considered a warm color, it is rich and deep, adding sophistication to your space, and it also contrasts amazingly off of white and other neutrals. You can add it in pillows, vases, stone counters, your ceiling, the possibilities are endless.

Take a close look at this project, and its absolute PERFECTION! Eggplant is used in plaster form on the ceiling, and the entire palette compliments that color—— brick floors, deep brown rug, accents of peach and caramel leather, with a small hint of very light warm green. And to add to this eye candy, check out the kitchen!!

They continued the brick throughout the kitchen space, and selected very rich brown cabinetry to contrast against the natural flooring. The highly figured marble to complement a classic Nelson pendant, equals an innovative show stopper that I will keep in my personal reference log for a long time! This entire home is amazing, and if you want to see more, click on either image above to see the rest of it.

Happy Saturday!!!

xoxo—Ann
